WeStep® 650 – The compact allrounder

Wenger WeFeed 100 Belt Cell

 The WeChain 350 is specifically designed for the automation of shaft parts clamped between centres.
The cell loads shafts up to 350mm in length and 100mm in diameter.
Thanks to the quick adjustment of the feed cycle chain and the gripper jaws, the WeChain cell is particularly suitable for smaller series, whereby the system must be frequently changed over to new part types. .





FEATURES

 

  • The feed cycle chain can be adjusted to the part length within seconds using a handwheel. A second handwheel ensures the horizontal position of the parts on the chain, even with different diameters.
  • The SPC parts are placed right-flush on the finished part conveyor. The NIO parts are dropped into a box behind the finished part conveyor.
  • The image-guided WENGER set-up wizard supports the programme creation and the changeover process.

Wenger WeFeed 100 Belt Cell

WeStep® 650 – The compact allrounder

Wenger WeFeed 100 Belt Cell

The WeFeed 100 belt cell was developed specifically for the automation of internal grinding machines.

The cell loads parts that are clamped in the chuck (chuck parts) up to Ø100mm and a length of up to 100mm.

The parts are fed via two belts. At the end position of the belt, the parts are fed to the grinding machine via linear gantry and changeable gripper head. The finished parts are placed on two output belts and led out of the cell for manual unloading.

  • The belts do not need to be adjusted for different part diameters.
  • Thanks to our quick-change gripper system, it is possible to change over to other part types within a very short time.
  • The image-guided WENGER setup wizard supports programming and the changeover process.
  •  Suitable for workpieces which are clamped in the machine in the chuck.

WeStep® 650 – The compact allrounder

WeStep® 650 – The compact allrounder

The WeStep® 650 provides automated loading and unloading of shaft parts up to 650 mm length between centres and chuck parts up to 260 mm diameter.

The parts are fed in pallets, which are drawn in and processed by a chain conveyor. Using NC technology, the pallet is indexed under the line gantry. When the pallet has been processed, the pallet is placed on the upper finished parts conveyor and removed at the operator’s side. Thanks to flexible and quickly convertible grippers and pallets, the WeStep is particularly suitable for small batch sizes.


FEATURES 

 

  • Process integration: Processes such as blowing-off, measuring, and deburring can be integrated in a small space. For more complex processes it is possible to enlarge the cell on the right side with an extension module.
  • Fast changeover to other part types: thanks to our fast changeover system and image-guided changeover wizard you can switch to other part types in practically no time.

Wenger WeFlex® – Flexible automation cell

The Wenger WeFlex® offers rapid changeover between shaft and chuck parts.

  Flexibility is key – as you probably don’t know right now which parts you’ll need to machine in the future. With the WeFlex, you don’t need to. The interchangeable gripper heads allow changeovers between shaft and chuck parts in no time.

Wenger WeBot® 260

Wenger WeFlex® – Flexible automation cell

Wenger WeBot® 260

The WeBot® 260 is characterised by the robot’s simple operation. Thanks to the intuitive user interface, no robot knowledge is necessary.
The machine tools are loaded laterally on the left or right, through an automatic hatch.
For two-machine operation, the robot can be placed on a linear axis. The cell loads chuck parts up to Ø260mm and horizontal shaft parts up to approx. 300mm in length.

  • Immediate access to all workpieces on the racks.
  • The large workpiece storage enables autonomous working over a longer period of time.
  • The layout on the 6 racks can be individually adapted to the part and batch sizes.
  • The gripper fingers are equipped with a quick-change system as standard. Optionally, it is possible to change the gripper fingers completely automatically.
  • The image-guided WENGER setup wizard supports programme setup as well as the changeover process.

Wenger WePace ®

Wenger WeFlex® – Flexible automation cell

Wenger WeBot® 260

  The WePace® is used for small to medium workpiece sizes and can be used for a variety of cylindrical grinding machines. The handling is based on a FANUC 6-axis robot mounted on a rail.

The workpieces are fed via two drawers in 400x600mm format. An additional drawer is integrated as standard for SPC/NOK parts.

  • Quick changeover to other part types: Thanks to our quick-change system and image-guided changeover assistant, you can change over to other part types in no time at all.

Wenger WeStack® – The modular stack cell

The Wenger WeSpeed® fills the void wherever the standard robot cell fails to meet the required cycle times because, in addition to machine loading, additional processes must be operated.
Due to the decoupling of machine loading and part handling for process stations and workpiece storage, very short cycle times can also be realised for complex match grinding tasks. The workpiece storage consists of 2 off 400 x 600 mm drawers. 







FEATURES 

 

  •  A sliding guard above the drawer enables the pallet to be changed during machining.
  • A controller for every function. All processes are developed by us in-house, and are integrated in the
    loader control system.
  • Industry 4.0: All methods of retrieving relevant operating and process data are available with our
    preconfigured OPC-UA interfaces for all common systems and our WeConnect software tool.

Wenger WeStack® – The modular stack cell

  The Wenger WeStack® modular stack cell is particularly suited to the automation of highly productive machine tools. 

The workpieces on pallets with floor rollers are pushed into the stack cell. Depending on the size of the workpieces and the required autonomy, you can choose the number of stacks and the size of the pallets or blisters.

 Workpiece handling and process tasks – with our process integration, this is all done from a single source: boost the efficiency of your production thanks to the integration of the various processes directly in the automation cell or production line. Feedback of measurement results keeps your production process stable. Add a DMC code to your parts for future traceability. Deburr sharp edges and then clean your parts. Every step of the way is intuitive thanks to our user-friendly Wenger control panel (Siemens), with no need for additional interfaces. We’ve generated a great deal of expertise in the following fields and can offer you direct process integration in automation systems for them:

Wenger robot systems – six axes working for you

 Wenger are in a position to offer highly complex systems thanks to our longstanding experience in designing, building, and programming robot systems. And we’re not tied to any one robot manufacturer – instead, we use Kuka, Stäubli, or Fanuc robots depending on what use they’ll be employed for.

The robot systems can optionally be equipped with our specially developed process stations such as the measuring, deburring, labelling, and cleaning stations. Connections to high-bay warehouses for parts storage are also possible and have already been implemented.

The above image is an example of a prior project with 3x six-axis in-line robot, loading of three machine tools with shuttle, cleaning, and drying, 100% post-process measurement with rotary indexing table, feeding via stack cell.

The WeLine Top gantry loader links machines to create efficient production lines. Potential gantry speeds of up to 4 m/s. Suitable for machine tools with roof hatches.
